walker branch cleanup
September / March Service Project
Pack 167 walks along the Walker Branch Greenway at Rivergate Shopping Center, collecting trash. There are 2 events held each year, one in September and one in March. This event qualifies as a service project required by most ranks.

October Camping Trip
This is a themed weekend campout put on by our local council. Scouts and their families will have the opportunity to learn a variety of skills to include BB Shooting, Archery, Fishing, BMX, and more.
Hiking Club
Monthly activity
Each month or every other month our hiking club will go on a short hike in the Charlotte area to explore nature, stay healthy and have fun!
thanksgiving in the woods (AOLs)
November Event
A few years ago, Scout Troop 167 started a tradition of having “Thanksgiving in the Woods”. This is a time for the families and siblings of the AOL Scouts to go with the Scouts BSA troops together for fellowship and an awesome meal, “cooked in the woods”.
Thanksgiving in the Woods (Lions-Webelos)
November Camping Event
Scouts learn how to cook an entire Thanksgiving meal outdoors. This is an overnight camping trip usually held at McDowell Campground.
Christmas Cake Auction
December Service Project/Party
The Cake Auction is an annual charity event held inlieu of a typical pack meeting. The pack donates Pinterest worthy baked goods that are auctioned off by a real auctioneer.
scouting for food
January Service Project
Scouting for Food is the official “Good Turn for America” for the Mecklenburg County Council. Scouting for Food teaches youth the value of helping others. It takes place on two consecutive weekends in late January/early February.
blue & gold banquet
January/February Event
The Blue & Gold Banquet is a fun and exciting gathering held every year in February. This annual event features amazing food, entertainment, decorations, and activities. You don’t want to miss it! The past few years we have combined this activity with the Pinewood Derby for a full day of fun!

February Event
The Pinewood Derby is a racing event where Cub Scouts build and race small wooden cars from an official BSA pinewood derby kit, from the local scout store.
ARROW OF LIGHT crossover
February 2-Night Campout
The Webelos Scouts hard work and dedication prepares them to be awarded their Arrow of Light, Cub Scout’s highest honor, concluding with a crossover ceremony into the Scout BSA boys and girls troops.

end of year trip
June Overnight Adventure
Our Pack has a big “End of Year Trip” at the end of each Scouting year. The trip is typically planned for the end of May/early June. Past trips have included touring and spending the night aboard on the USS Yorktown at Patriot’s Point in Charleston, SC and “Sleeping with the Sharks” at Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies in Gatlinburg, TN.

July 3-Night Campout
Complete a large portion of your rank advancements and electives on this 4day/3night overnight summer camp at Belk Scout Camp for rising Webelos and AOL scouts.

July Event
Come cool off with Pack 167! Some years we have gone to a neighborhood pool, some years we have played with water guns and water balloons in the park, but every year we end with a delicious ice cream sundae bar!

August Event
Scouts learn bike safety as they move through various stations setup in the church parking lot. Bring your bike or scooter and helmet.
Pack 167 is part of the Apache District within Mecklenburg County Council.
